Since I have started knitting again, I have had thoughts of using my free time to earn some extra cash. To knit a sweater, it takes me about five to six hours. Materials cost at least $8 - $15 depending on the quality of yarn. If I would pay myself at the very least minimum wage ($5.05/hour) that works out that I should be able to sell my sweater for at least $33 - $40. I checked eBay and saw many hand knit sweaters selling for $6.99. That would not even cover the cost of my supplies. I find this very depressing.

If anyone has any ideas where they have been successful and where I should try to sell my items, please let me know. Has anyone tried craft shows, etsy.com, other web site?
